"Swoosh Training started long before it had a name. I was involved in coaching from a young age helping assist in various situations but my passion for coaching really started to increase while I was in the US. Teammates of mine started to join me outside of practice getting extra work in, from then on I knew I wanted to coach full time once I finished playing. Fast forward to 2017 Swoosh Training was born, both the brand and my own journey in coaching has grown and adapted" - Joe Reddish
Coach Joe is currently working for Franklin Basketball Association as the "Coach & Player Development Officer" along with his role as the Lead Assistant coach for his former team the Enviro Franklin Bulls of the NZNBL

Coach Sam's basketball journey started for her local high school Gisborne Girls High with her Junior A school team, from then on the love of the game was the driving force behind everything else. Sam's playing career ranged from playing age group reps for her region (Gisborne) and being a loan player to other regions like Taranaki and Hawkes Bay. After finishing school she continued to play in Australia in what was then called ABA which is known now as NBL1, a second division basketball competition. In 2019 Sam returned to New Zealand to pursue a coaching career, this started with being involved with Swoosh Training and then grew to become leading Academy Programs and facilitating all local basketball competitions and coaching services for Hawera Basketball Association.
"I always knew Basketball was where I wanted to be full time in whatever capacity, turns out coaching was my true passion. I'm thankful to have had the opportunities so far to make this my life and give back through the game. This is my third year coaching full time and there is no where I'd rather be, it's a challenge thats worth taking on and I'm excited to keep investing in myself and in others through this amazing sport".
